Youtube Banned By Pakistan’s Government

Youtube has been banned in Pakistan form Mid Night 16th September 2012 on direct orders form Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf. This is the reaction of the YouTube’s previously denied to remove video as requested from the White House saying that it not violate any of its community guidelines but Google’s YouTube Community Guidelines clearly stated that “they don’t permit hate speech (speech which attacks or demeans a group based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, and sexual orientation/gender identity)”. The video has been blocked in several countries around the globe, but Pakistani government instead of blocking the video, they bans the whole website.

Due to this ban of YouTube services in Pakistan, the internet speed decreases rapidly, many website not even loads who use Google services. Other then that the whole Google Maps website is also blocked. Actually all Google services are inter connected so when one service is banned it effect other services too.
