Gilgit: The government of Gilgit-Baltistan has made a wide-ranging plannings regarding providing

security to the Shia community, during Moharram so as they can perform their rituals, without being affected by the security issues. In order to neutralize explosive devices, jammers have provided by the Pak Army to the security forces for this purpose.

For the security reasons, the administration has also banned biking in the city, with effect from today, along with this it has also been decided to shut the cellular phone services, from Monday, the Federal Government has been also sent a letter regarding this decision. In order ensure security, along with the Pak Army, rangers and Gilgit-Baltistan will also show solidarity during the processions of the 9th and 10th Muharram in particular.
